“An Ocean of Suffering”A popular translation for the Sanskrit word, Samsarra. The literal definition is “The Wandering” and this defines samsarra’s style, and these musical journeys they embark upon always end up at a chaotic, heavy core. It is within this seething chaos that samsarra feel most at home. The lyrics are intelligent and thought provoking—ranging from war and the Human Condition to the inner struggles we all face in our own Daily Journeys.

Samsarra are based in sunny Santa Barbara, California- an idylic seaside climate that seems to spawn a rather suprising number of heavy bands- Snot, DevilDriver, Motograter and Ultraspank- to name but a few.

Samsarra were formed in early 2003, and released their Demo e.p.—Savor The Taste on May 21, 2004. They are currently finishing up the recording of their first full-length- Coming Forth From Day.
