Saint Dog was one of the original members of PTB (then Cottonmouth later to be known as Kottonmouth Kings) along with current KMK members D-Loc and Johnny Richter. After Richter left the Kings and Daddy X joined up officially, Saint helped write and record Stoners Reeking Havoc EP, Royal Highness, and Hidden Stash. He was also on a Japanese Import album entitled Stash Box. Saint contributed his style, talent, and presence until late 1999 (early 2000) when Saint decided to leave the Kottonmouth Kings. The exact reason for this is unsure but it has been stated that the Kings and ST hit a fork in the road, they each went their own way. After leaving the Kings, Saint Dog teamed up with his older brother Big Hoss (whom you can hear in the track “Big Hoss” on Royal Highness) to create the band USA (Unconformable Social Amputees). They released the album Spun Craz and sold it through their website SaintDog.com (formerly stdog.com). The album is currently out of print but can still be seen occassionally on ebay. On February 25, 2003 it was annonced that Saint Dog (and UScircleA) had signed to Suburban Noize Records, Saint Dog has joined the Subnoize tribe once again. Kickin off with a tour with Phunk Junkeez and recording all new material for USA’s second album, 2003 looks to be a good year for all the Saint Dog fans that have missed him over the years. He’s not back with the kings, and shows no intentions to be, but he is back doing his own thing. This is just a little summary of Mr.Vicious, and sooner or later there will be more to read and learn about him, but until then, go check out a show, get the album when it hits the street, support Saint Dog full throttle. |
