The Old Crow Medicine Show is made up of six guys from all over the country, with musical influences steeped in many different cultures. They bring it all together to play songs from some of the earliest folk traditions of American music, tunes from Jug bankds and travelling shows, back porches and dance halls, from the southern appalachians to the Tejano sounds of South Texas. The seek out long forgotten songs, finding them everywhere from dusty 78’s to ancient fiddle players. The boys trade instruments so often that it’s hard to keep track of who’s who and what’s what.
