M.S. was officially formed in Fort Collins, Colorado, on September 27, 2007, in the basement rehearsal space at drummer Cisco’s home, just a few weeks after the members first came together. Cisco posted an ad on Craig’s list seeking like-minded musicians to join him in making a special brand of rock music – as he called it “sleazy and smokey.” Ryan was the first to respond, being drawn in by the feeling conveyed in the ad. Troy answered next and the stage was set. Tim and Cisco had been playing together in two different power-pop-punk trio line-ups that never got off the ground – Tim on guitar. When Tim found out Cisco was putting together something new, his interest was piqued and soon he joined in on bass. Funny thing is, Cisco and Tim “met” in January 2004 when Tim backed his truck into Cisco’s car in a parking lot…little did either know that just 2 years later, they’d be playing music together.
