Machinegun Symphony is defined by their hybrid mixture of Synthpop/Industrial and guitar driven rock, combining to give them a melodic, hard hitting and very unique sound. Machinegun Symphony is Vocalist/Programmer Mark Sousa, Guitarist Matt Shaffer and Guitarist Mark Krabbenhoft. In 2002, the band began to take shape as a performing act and were showcased at the 2002 Colorado Dark Arts Festival. In 2003 the band released “Darby of the Dogged Silence” an EP comprised of 3 of the band’s favorites including the club track “Binary Lies.” After a brief tour of the western United States, Machinegun Symphony was showcased yet again at the 2003 Colorado Dark Arts Festival and will be showcased at this years Salt lake City Dark Arts festival andfor the third year in a row at the 2004 Colorado Dark Arts Festival.
Machinegun Symphony has played with internationally renowned acts such as Bella Morte, The Phantom Limbs,Penis Flytrap, Razed in Black, and ProVision. The year 2004 has brought the band back to the studio,teamingup with producer Rick Joyce (of the Last Dance) torecord their first full length album.
