The GRANDMothers, were formed in Los Angeles in 1980 by Jimmy Carl Black, Don Preston and Bunk Gardner. Continuing the jazz-rock style of music the three musicians are best known for, they developed a worldwide reputation playing modern classical music mixed with free form rock improvisation and outrageous theatrical satire. Their show is so exciting that spontaneous audience participation occurs during their shows, turning the performances into one-of-a-kind events.
