During the past eight years, the world has know A.J. Croce (yes he is the son of the late singer/songwriter Jim Croce) as a piano man, banging out soulful blues, jazz and roots influenced music to substantial critical acclaim and growing international audiences. Croce taking influence from early blues artists, he recorded a self-titled debut with John Simon and T-Bone Burnette. Private Music released it in 1993. Two years later, That’s Me in the Bar appeared. The album increased his cult and he moved to Ruf Records two years later, releasing his first album for the label, Fit to Serve, in the spring of 1998. Transit followed two years later. |
